“Yub” is a nickname given to Raven by her mother when she was 3 months old. Her mother was one of the first to encourage Yub to bake and taught her how to bake with love.  Growing up with an incredible grandmother and mom who could both throw down in the kitchen, it was just a matter of time before Yub caught the baking spirit. In late 2014, Yub started out baking cheesecakes and cupcakes for close family and friends. The incredible feeling of people enjoying her desserts turned into making more sweet treats for her friends and family, and eventually selling them to hungry people across the LA and Orange County area. This soon led to the creation of Made By Yub.

 

 

Yub hopes to one day open a bakery and to hire domestic violence survivors to help bake and run the shop. As much as she loves to bake, Yub is a passionate advocate for survivors of abuse, and uses any opportunity to empower survivors and stop the cycle of abuse.
